When I was at W&L (very small school), there were multiple students.....

Expelled for cheating or other honor violations. But you did have the option to go through a public honor trial. I went to one.......Yikes!!!!!!! But it did have the effect of lessoning the cheating problem. Indeed, the sole penalty for an honor system violation is expulsion.
