Scuba diving in Monterey (right off the shore, or boat dive the kelp

forests - Aquarius Dive Shops). Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium if still open. See the famous lone cypress (from afar) along 17-mile drive, if it’s still there. Great breakfast place right on Lighthouse in Pacific Grove- building looks old but the best food-sorry can’t remember the name. Definitely dinner at Cocodrilo in Pacific Grove- fancy, amazing food, but they give young kids crayons to draw on paper tablecloths.

If you have a bike, ride through Carmel Valley. Great swimming holes maybe 15 miles in? Depends when you go. Beautiful area, always sunny, even when coast is foggy. Drive up to Jack’s Peak at night for amazing view of the whole bay to Santa Cruz. Right by Monterey Airport.

When not on a motorcycle, go wine tasting early in Carmel Valley- great wineries (DD, don’t drink and drive obviously). Walk it off by Carmel shops, sleep it off in the afternoon on white sand at Carmel beach. Great seafood restaurant right by the trolley, if it’s still there. Walk through cannery row. Bloody Marys / Mimosas on Fisherman’s Wharf on a Sunday morning are fun.

Watch a race at Laguna Seca. Rock climbing in Pinnacles West, south of Salinas. Hike in Big Sur Park. Camp overnight at the creek. Walk on the Big Sur beach (beautiful).

If visiting North of SF, head out to Russian River beach. It’s beautiful. I think the best Pinots in the world come from RR. In general, St. Helena and those areas have wines you can’t buy on the east coast. Enjoy. Miss those places, back then.

EDIT- just saw that l relisted most of previously posted.

Are you USMC? I think you can still visit El Toro and Miramar Top Gun (both are no longer) but far south of LA.
