Do you think VT can force K into playing a smaller lineup like the 1st game
where Mark Williams sat most of the 2nd half on the bench, and was a non-factor offensively?
Or do you attribute that more to the foul trouble he had in guarding Aluma, a quicker player with more movement than he's used to having to keep up with?
Do we want Keve to stretch Williams (even Banchero) to the 3 point line if he makes a few, keeping that blocker/rebounder combo out of the paint for better paths to the rim for others?
If not for Banchero going off in the 2nd half, VT was there. And that also was at a time of the season before we found 2 more ingredients off the bench (Maddox and Pedulla).
I think continued strong defense from VT could win tonight. We've also seen time and time again where Duke's D makes other teams have one of their worst games of the year (UNC game 1, ND, Wake, and Syracuse regular season).
VT needs to do the same tonight to them to have a shot.
just... WIN TONIGHT!
