AT was a.....


generational player. You list the strikeout stats but, ERA stats are also huge and even more eye catching considering the workload she was carrying. I can't remember where I saw it but, someone analyzed her career won/loss record and there were very few L's that were not close. VT almost always had a chance when she was in the circle. I had the enjoyment of watching her many times throughout her high school and college career. I have told this story before but, I believe it bears repeating. A fan really got a good picture of how good she was standing under the bleachers behind the backstop at TSP. She used the entire box (up, down, in and out) with an assortment of pitches and the movement on her ball was incredible. Very enjoyable times!
