Not to pick on ND specifically, but still...

I get the whole "body of work" thing. I get that ND beat Kentucky months ago. I get that "ND" on a jersey is ALWAYS going to count more with certain folks than "VT" on a jersey. But...VT is ahead of them in the majority of computer rankings. And most importantly, we beat them TWICE. They beat us ZERO times. In the most recent meeting, on a neutral court, with a lot on the line, VT held the lead for the entire game. That goes beyond "eye test". It's a direct answer to the question, "which of these two teams is better?"

I think head-to-head should be the ultimate tiebreaker any time teams are even close, when it comes to tourney berths and bowl invites. Especially when teams have played each other more than once, and the same team won all meetings. Even more so when the teams competed in a neutral setting. It takes a lot of the politics, and the "brand" crap, and the good-ol-boy backroom dealing, out of the equation.

Again, I am not singling out ND because I think they are less tourney-worthy than some other teams... I just don't get why "everyone" agrees that they are "in", no matter what, when VT is still on the outside looking in.
