This seems overly harsh on the club itself.

Abramovich had already stated he'd sell the club and I believe stated any proceeds from the sale would be directed to a foundation to benefit Ukraine set up by the Chelsea Trust.

But these sanctions on the club itself are going to impact a lot more (non-Russian) people than just him.
