My bet is it was supposed to be a 5 out look and if Clemson held tight away from the ball then VT would drive to play for the tie. If they sat in the driving lanes (Hall didnt, but the defender on the opposite side did) then you play off of what the defense gives you. Hall sat tight to Cattoor so dribble handoff there wasnt going to work. His only 2 options were drive left handed for the 2 or pull up for the 3...he made a good call given his skillset
