Greetings from the big apple…
Wasn’t even sure - It was cold and wet outside - I would even come up here until I woke up yesterday morning. Had some Amtrak special deal tickets $38 bucks round-trip So if I used them great if I didn’t use them not so big of a deal. With 30 minutes to spare, got up got dressed packed and headed to the station. Everything worked out, good karma. Even got a free cup of coffee when I needed it since I hadn’t eaten breakfast. Kind of nice watching the snow and rain outside as you sit in a wide spacious seat rolling up the rails. A woman sitting in front and across from me must’ve spent 30-40 minutes applying mascara. Never got a good look at her from the front to see if it was worth the effort. Amtrak’s doing pretty good, pretty new car, clean and bright the rails seemed a little smoother this time and Penn station has been refurbished. It no longer looks like a strip mall from the 70s. I’m actually giving them credit.
Got to the game enjoyed it y’all saw it. The funny thing was I was sitting next to a Wake Forest guy and when we were up 14 points, I told him we’d have to get the game back to even before we would be able to win it. That was a joke but I’m sure he thinks I have magical powers and can see the future. Wake forest guy grew up in Radford but lives in Connecticut now drove down to the game. Hasn’t been back in a long time and I told him I get down to the NRV a couple times a year.
Watched the hoo game, Boy that was painful. I remember scores like 33 to 33, Someone posted on TSL that UL had shot 13% on three point and yet the score was still tied. But yeah,, heckuva win there too I suppose. It is a lot of fun talking to a bunch of different people From different schools and different places.
Still here, will make it to the game tonight looks like there are plenty of tickets.
