Indiana has three Q1 wins.

Rutgers has six. Xavier has five. We have one.

Strength of record ranks...

Rutgers: No. 50
Indiana: No. 57
Xavier: No. 60
VT: No. 64

Strength of schedule ranks...

Rutgers: No. 32
Xavier: No. 37
Indiana: No. 39
VT: No. 64

Generally speaking, making the field as an at-large is about how many quality wins you have, and about the overall strength of your schedule and record. VT lags behind those schools in those aspects. The NET ranking itself doesn't mean much, except to sort out the number of wins each team has in each quadrant.
