Grew up in Hampton playing at the "new" Hampton municipal Golf Course


F15s when they were top dog at Langley would take off and sometimes do unlimited climbs directly over the course with the exhausts pointed straight down on the golfers. It was so loud your brain would just kind of go into survival mode for a second. Sometimes you would see older folks would go down to the ground. Our high school practiced on the air force base course but that was right next to the runway so you really didn't get the full afterburner effect like you did at the Hampton municipal course.
