Very cool. That shouldn’t be the headline of that article though.
The big deal is that Russia’s military lacks secure comms in a country right next door. Their homegrown secure comms solution is apparently unusable in Ukraine, Ukraine’s intel teams are all up in Russian military comms. That’s not how superpowers roll. Combine that with the world refusing to sell russia any microchips, and it appears Putin has russia on a path to North Korea status.
This feels like after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the world learned they were not nearly as capable as we had assumed.
Also, if that general was commanding troops to bombard schools and hospitals, he is surely in hell if such a place exists.
