Fact: As of 2022, US oil production is just under 12 million barrels a day,

which is 8% lower than in 2019. Several reasons why:
(1) political pressure from climate change groups to reduce US production, clean air, stop fracking, etc. (2) Keystone pipeline cancelled, which would have moved $35 million barrels new oil daily. (3) due to pandemic, oil producers are unable to get equipment/pipes/sand, etc. (4) due to pandemic, there is a shortage of workers. (5) even if they start producing new oil today, it would take 6 months to 1-year to get it to the gas pumps.
Our government is now moving towards the phase of begging OPEC, Russia, Iran, China, Venezuela, etc.
