I assume the state's revenue is hurt by higher prices since most gas taxes


are a fixed amount per gallon rather than a percentage of the price so as the quantity sold drops with the higher prices doesn't the revenue also drop.
I know you were being funny and I did laugh, but I'm just throwing this out there because I think it's true, but not 100 percent sure.
