Actual ready-to-use munitions...none to very little...

RAAP basically produced the "raw materials" for the munitions. The explosives and propellant's that made them go boom or drove them to their target to make them go boom. The actual assembly of the munitions occurred at other plants across the facility.

Big part of their production were propellants, as in the powder that shot the artillery shell or the rocket motor that drives the rocket or missile. Packaged as bulk powder or as ready to install motors for things like rockets. Think of an Estes engine being put into one of their model rockets.

Other end were "energetics" or the explosives that went into the rounds. As far as I'm aware all of that was shipped off site for shaping and installing into the final warhead. Lots of nitroglycerine (NG) and TNT.

When I was there briefly, there was not a single line at Radford where bullets or ready-to-use munitions rolled off the line. Apparently there are some lines for medium caliber munitions there operated by other contractors, but don't believe it is the main manufacturing hub for any munitions in the military. It is the ONLY military supplier for propellants in the US.
