Oh well, we don't know how to reconstruct the NET yet

so I'm not sure we can definitively compare that.

However, in terms of RPI, 2009-2010 VT was 23-7, 10-6 that year. They were RPI rank 59, SOS rank: 133.
They had 8 wins against RPI 30-100, 1 loss outside the RPI 100 (BC was 125ish)

UNC this year is 22-8, 14-5. RPI Rank 45 and SOS Rank 71 (Much better). However, they have 5 wins against the RPI Top 30-100. They lost to #207 Pitt this year at home.

Much better conference win percentage, much better OOC schedule and SOS rank. I can see why they'd be in vs. VT, but there's also 3 more teams in today's tournament vs 2010. 68 team field and VT was assuredly in, in 2010, right?
