Your dilemma’s why I continue to believe Apple’s a good long term buy

Because as people age they don’t want to switch between the latest & greatest android brand & apple. They will stick with what they already know & there are lots of iPhones. If your dad isn’t already locked into a particular type of smart phone then just go with a flip phone. My 84 mother just got a new IPhone but she’s been using iPhones since they came out. She’ll never use all of the features but not many people do & I still have to help her through the occasional iOS upgrade change which can feel like the blind leading the blind sometimes.
