All the bubble teams have some bad losses in common, but quality wins are easier to distinguish. Summary of quality wins for Lunardi's 16 bubble teams below in order of how he lists them on the bubble. 8 of 16 teams get in. Rutgers has a lot of big time victories, but a crappy overall record. Similar with Michigan. I don't understand why SDSU and San Fran are considered in while Dayton and VCU are not. I think teams having more than 13 losses shouldn't get in, so Michigan and Rutgers are treading on thin ice. Aside from VT not having big time wins, the Hokies have lost to 3 of these bubble teams, so will be hard to argue for VT over those 3. However, the committee has rewarded winning down the stretch in the past, so VT has that going for them.

If I had to pick 8 teams to get in from this list as things stand now, I'd go with MICHIGAN, WAKE FOREST, CREIGHTON, MEMPHIS, INDIANA, SMU, VCU, and DAYTON. VT needs to beat Clemson and probably make it to ACC Tourney final.
