I'll just say this, I don't think VT is in the habit of filing multimillion-dollar lawsuits, lawsuits where they were represented by the Attorney General of Virginia, against schools who are just innocently "advancing" their own athletic program.

The fact is that the absolute ringleader of the underhanded effort to kick VT out of the Metro and avoid paying any of the associated fees was Loserville, plain and simple. That action is part of what caused VT to founder as a basketball backwater for many years, and forcing us to accept the A-10 as a poor substitute for the Metro did tremendous damage to many of our previously successful Olympic sports, baseball first among them. It also put us in a disadvantaged position vs. the Big East, leading that conference to hold us up for an $8 million ransom when they finally agreed to let us in for all sports.
