I don't think VT graduated anyone from last years team. They added some good new players, Peck and Lemley, and some of the returning players have improved (so far) such as Overaitis and Slaw. The end result is that some players are seeing a significant reduction in their playing time.

Grace Chavez - She saw her BA tumble last year to about .200 . With all the talent on the team now, she won't be getting much playing time.

Darby Trull - She was a prolific hitter a few years ago but struggled a little last year and is off to a very slow start. Some of her playing time is being taken by Overaitis and also Slaw at first base moving Bailey to the OF. Addy Green moving to the OF is also getting some of Trull's playing time.

Alexa Milius - With Fagan and Bennett starting almost every game along with Peck getting a lot of starts at third, there just isn't as much playing time for Milius as last year.

Addy Greene - Looks to be squeezed out of the infield. Played almost exclusively at 2b last year. This years limited appearances are in the OF.

Ivy Rosenberry - Number 2 pitcher most of last year. Looks like she is number 4 now. Lemley getting almost all of her playing time. Just 1 game and 2 innings pitched this year.

Its a tough pill to swallow - must be difficult for these players. But it is the nature of all college sports - no matter how good you are, if the coach finds someone better you don't play.
