I agree about the language comparison.

i also hate the idea of words being curse words or foul but yet the same folks substitute other words so effectively they have become the "bad" words...

I do think broadcasting wars can be important to a degree as it makes it real for many more people and in some ways could deter similar actions. Also could force politicians to act other ways due to the public's response. However, to counter it could be detrimental as well for several reasons including mental health, people who desire to copycat, etc. Personally, I don't want folks sheltered but not over exposed and used to it either.
