The last 3 episodes covered the years from my youth. Many great memories


And as a childhood Terp fan, some really bitter memories too.

I knew the rule had changed allowing more than 1 ACC team to go to the tourney after the 74 NCSU-Maryland game but I didn't know it was known as "The Maryland Rule". It really was ridiculous that the 74 Terp team didn't get to go to the tourney. As Lefty said, they were arguably the second best team in the country that year.

And then we have the '80 ACC Final. I'll say it this way. Danny Coale still caught that ball AND Kenny Dennard fouled Buck Williams under the hoop on the Terps last possession in '80.

That was such a good Terp team. I was a huge Albert King fan and he had a tremendous season. I remember that he won the MVP of that tourney and had to be dragged out of the locker room to accept his trophy. You could clearly see he had been crying in the locker room after that game. It meant a lot more back then.
