He was a presence. There was an aura in Reynolds when Thompson


was on the floor…even in the warm ups. His athletic ability was unbelievable. NC State was a show. Funny story about living in Raleigh in the 70s. We would go to Hillsborough street across from the campus and go into a few of the night spots and the basketball players stood tall. But Burleson and Glenn Sudhop who followed him at state were hilarious at how they stood above crowds in restaurants. On the other end I wonder how effective Monte Towe would have been had he not played with DT and TB
