49 Im a huge BA homer, not buying the Verk is good argument. Top 10 guys don't usually struggle with him. Sasso had a close one a few years ago but many stick him or beat him by 5+. Maybe its a style matchup, weird 2nd period takedown position, but BA did not look overly energized. Its quite ok, he's usually THE energy spark plug, just an observation.
57 Connor, concerned about him qualifying now. A month ago I think we were pretty confident especially going toe to toe with Teemer.
65 Clayton, still giving effort
74 Mekhi, did drive hard for bonus.
84 Hunter, good comeback after UNC, worked hard.
97 Dakota, was working hard, lost to a better wrestler. It would have been nice to hold it to a decision but it was not due to lack of effort.
285 Trax, super slick opening move, got ridden by thick heavy, not unlike the Orndorff match. I expected a pretty smooth 5-2 type win but he was to his feet many times when ridden. It was not lacking effort or laying sprawled out the entire time.
-So my prior lack of enthusiasm comment may have been incorrect. I do stand by the fact it wasn't an overly inspiring outing and Sunday will tell us a lot.

Interesting fact: H Hidlay lost in a conference dual for the first time in his career, final match, final night since a possible Mekhi loss would not count against him in conference. That is 6 years, 5 years attached without a conference loss. wow. Lets give him another one, I wouldn't be surprised if Pop sits him, since they just claimed the conference title. HH strikes me as a guy who would want to wrestle and take the bad feel off of getting stuck no matter who he wrestles. Egos come into play as pop would not want a loss to a non-conference, conference team. He knows the title would be tainted. If they get 25 and 41, 49 I think he may not wrestle HH, they may not need it.
