Ok, but I don't understand how that pertains to...


...the OP. If the U.S. doesn't manufacture its own grid equipment, then it's likely going to be really painful if you happen to live in an area that is targeted by a grid attack. I know for a fact that Dominion Energy already has an issue with procurement of basic infrastructure pieces. We are building some warehouses right now and were told that Dominion currently has no meter bases and it will be weeks until they can acquire them. That is not good, and we're not even in a crisis at the moment.
