Agreed. A country without a manufacturing base is like one without natural

resources. Completely at the mercy of other countries. But at least countries without natural resources didn’t have a say in the matter. A country without manufacturing or, even worse, a country that chose to give up its manufacturing base, is choosing to be helpless.
