The committee has previously said nothing else matters (last 10, injuries, etc). Even record doesn't matter, if someone remarkably had no good wins and no bad losses the committee would default to efficiency metrics.

Metrics: Attempt to normalize performance across different levels of competition
Good wins: Measure ceiling
Bad losses: Measure consistency

Metrics are by far the best indicator of success in March, as a Virginia fan you should know that by know as UVa's seeding has been carried by metrics ever since Tony got there. The good/bad wins are primarily used as tiebreakers for who is in and out.

VT has great efficiency numbers, everyone knows 4-1 and is the minimum for this team to make the dance so those will likely hold. Opportunities for good wins were remarkably absent given how tough our OOC was scheduled. We have 2 close bad losses but neither are egregious or against mid-major competition. When VT does win though, it's generally by a lot, even the close games were generally double digit leads deep into the 2nd half.
