Odu is a much larger university


Sorry if folks dont know hampton roads area but -
1 - second largest area of the state
2 - odu is the largest closest state university and has a huge footprint there. The remaining schools are much smaller in enrollment and resourcing.,,wm and mary is different - they have an ivy approach to athletics
3. There is space for vt and odu in the area.
4. Its important that vt and the rest market wise ensure hampton roads is a state market - much like Northern va. No encroachment. From outside. Cannot be like jersey with their 2, largest metro areas are burbs to philly or burbs to nyc .
