Turner Field and the GA Dome lasted less time


The Cooke Memorial Mausoleum is a football stadium, nothing more. Can't hold events there, just play football. It is also a dump, and as others have stated, has been since it was opened. Cooke was dying, wanted it done, every corner was cut, every cheap decision was made.

A complex that is more than 8 - 10 football games a year would be a much better investment. If it's planned properly and includes things like a casino, hotels, conference facilities, etc it would be an economic boom and they can play football there as well.

I'm against public funding, if you can make the numbers work, the state should get out of the way but not fund it. Tax incentives to get it there rather than MD or DC, sure, but no direct funding unless there is an ownership stake and revenue guarantees included.
