I was a DB in high school and we spent 75% of fall practice…

on conditioning and fundamentals….

We did a drill where all the LBs and DBs squared off 5 yards across from a RB or WR and they would run straight at us and break left or right. Went with head up and across the body and wrap your arms around the thighs….

If you did it wrong, there was an ass chewing and you did it again.

Coach would say if you can’t bring him down hold on cause help is on the way…

Smallest, skinny kid on the team had great technique and coaches would make him demonstrate for the rest of us….
