My wife has one that is driving me crazy because she changed jobs/insurance

The new insurance and old insurance both use affiliates of the same mail order company. They have two different names and are two separate companies, but they are affiliated and one of them hires the other to manage most of their distribution.

So when her doctor sends in the prescription to the NEW insurance's mail order company, their computer sees it, sees her old insurance with the old mail order company, and transfers it over to them to fill.

Well, she doesn't have that insurance any more, but because things don't get processed right away, their computers haven't learned about it yet and it still shows up as active because (reasons). So they start processing the order and want a kazillion dollars because as far as they are concerned, she's uninsured.

We've called repeatedly and each time they assure us that they will block the old account from accepting new orders, yet that doesn't seem to work.

So we finally had to just give up on mail order for the next month or two until the company figures it out.

And each time this happens, they send us TWO letters in the mail for each medication informing us that the order has been canceled at our request. Good grief, I'd rather have the cash value of what you're paying in postage to send that out. It has to have been 40 pieces of mail by now.
