I do remember car shopping in the 80's where 70k miles was absolutely


considered to be a car nearing the end of its life.

But by the mid 90's, 100-150k was fairly normal. Today, 200k is totally reasonable.

Heck, I'd be inclined to look more at the actual age of a car than it's miles as a barometer of how much life is left. An 8 year old car with 200k is probably doing better than a 17 year old car with 90k.
