So then why get a new car? you could keep that for another decade

I keep my cars for about 10 years, and by then, they're closing in on 200K.

And we don't have car payments anyways.....if you keep a portion of your paycheck going into a side account even after you've paid off the car....the next car is fully paid for by the time you want a new one.
