I really don't understand cable companies (inside)

Agree - you'd think eventually pricing would equalize.
But I was with Cox and they just kept raising the rates like crazy. They have to see that their market share is decreasing but they keep raising their prices. The only thing I can think is that will squeeze out their older customers who can't handle new technology.
