The entire team went into prevent mode per usual, when we try to run clock

Pedulla was pretty poor last night, his defense left a lot to be desired and on offense he felt like a walking turnover. That should come as no surprise given GT's shifting matchup zone is brand new to him, it's similar to how much he struggled vs UVa's packline. I think he had a drive that didn't go down as a TO in the box score but would've been from the eye test.

Somwhat ironically we run the same amount of time off when we actually run our offense but we clearly take a different approach when up big which is leading to all these collapses.

That's why Storm and Cattoor were spending 20 seconds dribbling in the backcourt, we saw what happened when we keep the pedal down against the Bonnies, and we've seen what happens when we try to milk clock. We should be doing the former but we seem to default to the latter.

Yes, but in late games, upside favors Maddox IMO -- Vienna_Hokie 02/03/2022 11:41AM
