It is a little different situation.


Hands (palm of hand and fingers) to face shouldn't be allowed at any time. A cross face is more like using the back side of your hand (at the wrist above the thumb) to essentially wipe the opps nose and reach through to the arm/shoulder with the forearm with the the intent to turn.
