Like you, I played a ton of pickup ball. Played at the old war memorial gym with the likes of Al and Perry Young, Les Henson used to be in there from time to time. Also use to play a lot at the old rec hall in Radford.

Like you, those games where you get to that space are few and far between, but you remember every one of them. Confidence in that you can score on your guy starts it, and it grows into you can score on anyone pretty soon. By that time it is too late for any opposition short of injury to stop you.
