MLB changes the strike zone every game actually


Along the lines of your post, umps all call the zone a little different. Rules are the same, just like wrestling, the way the umps call it changes. Thus, the daily rotation changes what the zone is every day.

They also do seem to tighten it up a bit in the post season, though I don't think it's that big a change and something the players are used to since it does change every day and they have to learn to adapt.
