He's not bad. He's Alex Smith like. Smith didn't have the 3 crazy plays per game, but Smith was even more conservative than Jimmy G. Bottom line, he's a QB like Smith that does not have the confidence to throw the ball regularily 15 yds in the midde of the field. He's checking down, period. You win with him if all the conditions are perfect. The running game is going, the defense is playing well, and the other team isn't capitalizing on opportunites like in Green Bay and like LA for most of this game. When HE is required to WIN the game for you, to get you over the hump when down, he usually comes up short, not always, but usually. He's your typical "check down" game manager, and those QB's don't win Superbowls.
