It's a somewhat normal occurrence


For this storm, the snowfall isn't the major issue - it's the wind. The coastal south shore (Boston to Cape Cod) is getting 80-90mph gusts this afternoon. We get 24" snowstorms every 2-3 years and are fully prepared for them at a municipal and individual level, Getting a storm of this ferocity is concerning because of power outages when the temps are in the 0-15F range. You look out for your neighbors, even more than usual.
