Alies are a good word but also word for leadership

No 1 what is best for va tech and then consider the conference

I do think things have changed and its over broad roles of universities over 50 years

1. Vt has evolved into a broad national university with national footprint in r&d medicine and it/ engineering and business..with 30-35 k broad enrollment and campuses in dmv roanoke and hampton roads . Its simply not the small regional university of 1970. With that .. it cannot be ignored.

2. Vt athletics have grown tremendously as well; our rep is we tried hard; more passion and dedication but not as many big doners..we did wonderful and worked the big east for national pre-eminemce. All was for vt excellence.

3 joining the acc has been remarkable for vt as well as the acc. However, i feel many in leadership felt we succeeded and now its gravy.. we coasted and sustained because we are in the acc blanket.. we as an institution didn't have the drive and determination for national pre-eminence like we got during the big easf days.

4. I think athletics are beginning to realize its about vt achieving excellence first and if acc fits greaf. For football. Pry might be the besf fit on outreach and rebuilding the foundation.. i think we need to expand for the same for basketball
