He was great in The Shield and Justified too. Heck, his small role as a transgender character in Sons of Anarchy he was great too.

There's a few actors I will watch almost anything they are in, even though they aren't necessarily headliners or leads. Sometimes the material is crap and even they can't redeem it, but it's always worth checking out. Goggins is near the top of that list (which also includes Margo Martindale, Andre Braugher, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman).

I don't currently get HBO/HBOMax, but if I sign up for a few months to catch up on some stuff, I'll definitely check out Righteous Gemstones.
