Anyone watching, or have watched, Righteous Gemstones?


Regardless of your religious beliefs, this is a very interesting series. It starts picking fun at the megachurch trope, and some of it is funny, but it really is a great dark comedy/drama...I binged the last season and caught up season 2 and am hooked. Some of it is absurd, of course (Danny McBride stuff), but to me at least. alot is sorta sad. I recommend checking it out if you have HBO Max or HBO on demand through Spectrum or Charter...

My paternal family grew up in western NC, and this resonates with me quite a bit - the setting, FWIW is South Carolina I believe...down toward Charleston..
