The Chiefs-Bills game was top of my watchlist this weekend. So, I signed up for free trial of Paramount+ to watch. It was absolutely worth it and I will probably keep it long enough to catch up on Yellowstone.

Couple of thoughts on the weekend:. This was one of the best football weekends in recent memory. I thought the college playoff was going to bring similar excitement, but it has ultimately been a dud.

A lot of talk about NFL overtime. If everybody thought neither offense could be stopped, when should we declare a winner? After the third TD? I am ok with it as is. The only thing I could entertain is remove sudden death in playoffs for a timed fifth quarter but that could be problematic too. For as much as college gets ridiculed for it's overtime, I think they may actually be closer to optimum format if the teams would just start at around the 50 instead of in field goal range. At the end of the day we got a great game and a winner was decided within the framework of the rules, I am good with it.
