The cable/satellite companies always seem to be in contract disputes


with various communications companies. Everyone is fighting for the dollars - it’s kinda like labor disputes. TV stations blame the cable/satellite companies, and the cable/satellite companies blame the TV stations, and boot them off the air, which then ticks off the customers.

I read somewhere a week or so ago that Direct TV and Dish are considering a merger. That could make things better or worse depending on how or if they eliminate market/viewer overlap.

Perhaps @teaysvalleyhokie has some info on the merger.
