some darn good eateries.

Our favorites are 128 Pecan. We've never gotten a bad meal there.

Papa Tom's Cajun Persuasion is real gooderly. The Voodoo filet is my favorite, the Boudin Balls are great.

On the cheaper side you can't go wrong with Chick-N-Little. Puerto Nuevo Fresh Mex & Seafood just opened across from Burger King on the west side of town off exit 19. We've been once and liked it. Of course there is always Pal's Sudden Service, a local chain that's not bad at all.

In Marion there are some excellent places too. Sur 81 just off the Rt 16 exit at the State Hospital is very good. Mexican place but a great breakfast menu. We have a good Japanese place called Yummy, Yummy. It's in town on the SW corner of East Main and Commerce Street. A great Mexican place called Mi Puerto Mexican Restaurant on N. Main...it's our go to place. The Wooden Pickle in town is good.

Then there is the world famous Dip Dog Stand. 😊
