I had interviewed for a job as a lead carpenter. I thought it was odd they interviewed me in an office. I would usually show up at a site with my tools and start immediately if hired. So after they hired me I showed up the next morning at the work site, an old apartment building being converted to condominimums. An old school bus pulls up & I'm thinking - that's odd, why is there chicken wiring on the windows? Then an armed guard in a corrections dept uniforms steps off the bus, looks at me and asks "Are you the new super?" All I could think of was - what the hell had I gotten myself into. That job lasted maybe three weeks before I quit.
