My dad has some stories about those JV games in the 50s/60s

My dad was a 3 year starter in D1 hoops from 59-62. His freshman year, they played whoever they could on that freshman/JV team. One of the games was actually in a prison against the prison team. The stands were full of inmates with armed corrections officers on the perimeter of the court. At some point, the game got physical, and it was clear the inmates were close to getting out of control. The warden comes in, goes to center court, and orders the stands cleared. They finished the game, and the facility was supposed to provide a meal for the team, but they got the hell out of there.
