Actually even before the playoff games teams in 95% of bowls had no chance


Of winning the national championship, so those games still mean as much or as little as they always did. Our society has sold us on the “win it all or nothing “ mindset. That mentality is partly responsible for a lot of the opt outs. When Tech played in ‘95 Sugar Bowl they had no legitimate chance of winning the N.C. but that game was of huge importance to player & fans. I think we need playoffs but in most peoples mind now all other bowls are worth less, but I disagree.
