It would be a great start


Having an identity and recruiting to be successful with whatever O or D you have is a great start. In the end, effectiveness would be the measure....points scored and points given up.....wins and losses loosely proportional to those metrics. People like wins and losses but reasonable people can see the details. I think most would be happy for awhile.
Any system/identity which translates to NFL preparedness will likely attract better players....or maybe it is just the player development coaches moreso than system but irrespective of NFL talent we really need to have a clear identity and recruit for building it. I am looking forward to seeing what happens over the next few years
