I don't think he has regressed, he's trying to do more

Unfortunately, the "more" involves attacking off of the dribble, which is not a strong suit for him. He is either getting pushed around by the bigger guys or out quicked by the smaller ones on his drives. He's better suited for a slash, catch, one move, take it up guy.
